Tiffany Shlain is a multidisciplinary artist, Emmy-nominated filmmaker, national bestselling author, and the founder of the Webby Awards. Her work spans sculpture, film, and performance, exploring themes of feminism, philosophy, technology, neuroscience, and nature.
Her art has been featured at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and her sculpture Dendrofemonology: A Feminist History Tree Ring was installed on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and in Madison Square Park in NYC as part of the Mobilization for Women's Rights and the Planet to kick off Climate Week 2024.
This fall, she presented a solo exhibition, You Are Here, at Nancy Hoffman Gallery in New York, which was named a "Must-See" show by both Artnet and Artforum. Shlain's joint exhibition with Ken Goldberg, Ancient Wisdom for a Future Ecology: Trees, Time & Technology, is part of the Getty Museum's Pacific Standard Time: Art & Science Collide initiative and is on view at the Skirball Cultural Center in LA through March 2, 2025.
